Young students

There is no age too young to be introduced to music!

Start the flute with a Nuvo TooT flute designed for little hands or begin the piano by using colours, stories and lots of games to start your musical journey. Bethany’s vast knowledge of resources and systems allows you to be in safe hands when starting a new instrument, however young!

Graded exams

Students are welcome to work towards music grades, if they wish.

They are a great way to keep track of progress and get rewarded for your hard work! Not to mention, a great confidence builder! Bethany successfully enters students for Trinity College London, ABRSM and MTB music exams.

If sitting exams is not for you, learn for fun and we will progress through setting our own goals!

Testimonials

Maddie, May 2020

I originally started doing flute lessons with Bethany to complete the skills section of my DofE award. But since then I have continued to have lessons with her for 5 years and I’m on track to sit my Grade 7! 😁 Her teaching style is unmatched. I have recommended her to many hopeful musicians and will continue to do so. She is always positive, understanding and patient- a natural born teacher! Every lesson is thoughtfully tailored to what she knows I need to focus on, without any pressure to fulfil an objective as planned. If you’re looking for a highly skilled musician and teacher, then Bethany is the perfect choice.

Meghan, July 2020

Bethany is enthusiastic and encouraging, she makes learning the flute and piano exciting. She has helped me to progress really quickly through my grades and she also encourages me to play non-grade pieces just for fun.

Clare, July 2020

As a parent, I was really impressed with how quickly Bethany adapted to teaching lessons via zoom and how she continued to provide opportunities for ensembles and concerts. It's been great to see my daughter continue to be enthusiastic about her music lessons through lockdown.

Janet, October 2020

Bethany is a fantastic teacher and skilled professional. I am always so impressed with how she continues to prepare my daughter for the demands of graded exams and her current responsibility as Music Leader at school. Bethany’s enthusiasm to widen her students’ music experience through extra ‘fun’ pieces and external concerts and events is unmatched.

Sarah, January 2021

My three girls have been having flute lesson with Bethany for the last three years. More recently also music theory lessons. They absolutely adore the lessons and Bethany! She is positive, friendly, approachable, and above all enthusiastic and passionate about music. They look forward to their lessons and have made so much progress in a short space of time. Outside of the lessons Bethany keeps in touch with further music to explore, support and advice. Definitely recommend!

Lola, January 2021

My son & nephew have been taking piano lessons with Bethany for over 1 year now and we are all very happy with the progress they have made, even moving online since last summer has not diminished the level of teaching, care and support that Bethany gives. They started Music Theory with her late last year and as with their piano they always look forward to their lesson.
I will definitely recommend Bethany.
